Accessibility Statement

What we are aiming for

We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA. Those are the common standards for making a website usable by people with disabilities.

We are describing a goal we work at, not a certificate. We have not been audited by an outside firm.

What we have built in

You can move through the whole site with a keyboard, including the menu and the estimate form. You do not need a mouse.

The item you are focused on shows a visible outline, so you can see where you are on the page.

Photos and images have text descriptions so a screen reader can tell you what they show.

We check the color contrast of text against its background so it stays readable, including our red and gold on dark backgrounds.

If your device is set to reduce motion, the site respects that setting and holds the animation.

Text resizes when you zoom in or raise your browser's font size, and the layout reflows instead of cutting words off.

Every page exists in English and Spanish, and the language toggle takes you to the same page in the other language instead of dumping you on the home page.

Where we still fall short

This work is ongoing and the site is not perfect. We are a small painting company, not a software shop, and we find issues as we go.

Older photos may have short or missing descriptions. Some pages get updated before others. And a change that fixes one thing can break another without us noticing right away.

We would rather tell you that plainly than claim the site is fully accessible.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use or you cannot get to something you need, tell us. You do not need to know the technical name for the problem. Just say what you were trying to do and what happened.

We answer accessibility messages the same way we answer estimate requests, usually within one or two business days.

We will get you the information another way

You never have to fight the website to work with us. If a page is not working for you, call and we will handle it over the phone.

We can read you the service details, take your project information by phone, and set up the free estimate visit without you filling out anything online.
